ServSafe ® Level II Food Safety Course + PIC Level at Fairfield County Health Department
The Fairfield County Health Department is offering two food safety courses in the coming months. The ServSafe® Level II Food Safety Course will be held on April 3rd, or May 1st & May 5th, and will last two days. Additionally, the PIC Level course will be offered on April 5th, and May 17th and will last one day. Both courses will cover important topics related to food safety and are designed to help individuals meet the necessary requirements to work in the food industry. 2023 Career Expo presented by Fairfield County Workforce Center
The Fairfield County Workforce Center is presenting the 2023 Career Expo for 11th and 12th graders in Fairfield County. The event will be held on March 30th, 2023 at the Fairfield County Workforce Center. This expo is designed to provide high school students with the opportunity to explore different career paths and connect with local employers.
The event will feature presentations from local businesses and organizations, as well as interactive exhibits and demonstrations. Students will have the opportunity to meet with potential employers and learn about the skills and education required for different careers.
The Fairfield County Career Readiness Endorsement will also be featured, as it is a pathway to local careers for high school students. The endorsement is designed to help students gain the skills and knowledge they need to enter the workforce after graduation.

Notice of Intent to Dispose of Surplus Personal Property by Internet Auction
The Fairfield County Board of Commissioners approved per resolution 2022-12.06.d, the use of internet auction to dispose of unneeded, obsolete or unfit personal property, including motor vehicles. O.R.C. 307.12 allows for items to be sold through internet auction.

Fairfield County Board of Commissioners Approves 2023 Budget
Today, the Board of Fairfield County Commissioners approved the county expenditure budget for 2023. The 2023 general fund budget, which covers expenditures for daily operations of county services, was approved at $59.65 M, an approximate 2.9% decrease from the current budget, which included several one-time capital projects, such as the Workforce Center and other capital improvements.
